SM Shaft Linear Motor

PBA Systems specializing in Shaft Motors. The PBA Systems SM Series Shaft Motor was designed for dynamic low force applications and is especially useful for Z-axis applications. In typical linear motor applications, the use of optical encoder and scale will produce high repeatability and high accuracy motions. However, the cost of these encoders is comparable to the cost of the small motor used. A cheaper alternative would be the SM Shaft Motor.

The Linear Shaft Motors requires less current and less mass to produce a similar force, and is more efficient than any other linear motor on the market.
